"Escape Plan" Comic-Con Screening And Red Carpet

On-screen tough guy, Sylvester Stallone, has been entertaining movie goers for more than four decades.  Stallone made his film debut in 1970’s The Party at Kitty and Stud’s. The film, which was also Stallone’s first starring role, earned him just $200 for two days of work. While Stallone continued to work regularly after his debut, the New York native did not major success until starring as the title character in the 1976 film, Rocky.  The film, which chronicles the tragedies and triumphs of Rocky Balboa, a boxer from Philadelphia, was the highest grossing film of 1976 and his since gone on to become a classic.  Rocky went on to spawn several sequels including 2006’s Rocky Balboa.  Sylvester’s larger-than-life persona has earned him a spot as one of Hollywood’s best action heroes, but more importantly, his roles have earned him a spot in the hearts of action film loving fans everywhere.  Although Stallone is now nearing 70, he is still very active in the film industry, and his many roles as a young man who was unafraid to challenge the world will live on forever thanks to some of his most dedicated fans.  Here are five of the best Sylvester Stallone inspired tattoos.

This tattoo depicts a victorious Rocky as he stands on top of the steps at the Philadelphia Art Museum.  Rocky’s climb to the top of the steps became one of the movie’s most popular scenes, and a status erected in Rocky’s honor has been placed near the museum.
